Complaints advice
If you are unable to resolve an issue or problem with a worker or wish to appeal a decision, please follow these steps:
- Ask your worker for a meeting with their supervisor. The Team Leader or Manager will see you promptly. This person has more authority in the organisation and may help to solve the problem. You have the right to bring a support person or advocate. This could be a close friend, a family member or a worker from another organisation (such as those listed below).
- If the Team Leader or Manager cannot resolve the issue, then the matter can be taken to a higher management level. The CEO will meet with you and anyone you want to bring along to assist and thoroughly review your complaint and everything that has been done to try and resolve it. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of this process you have a right as a tenant or someone receiving services from Haven to make a formal complaint if you feel some action or lack of action by Haven is wrong. You also have the right to assistance and support from people outside of Haven in making your complaint.
