A place with heart

We have many practical and emotional support programs to empower and encourage people to live a better life.

A place to stay... right now

We help people who are homeless or in housing crisis by entering them into a supported short-term housing program.

A place with solid foundations

Our Mission, Vision and Values keep us grounded in everything we do to help those most in need in our community.

Home; Haven, Safe (HHS) and Preston-based North East Housing Service (NEHS) have completed their merger.

The two housing agencies have begun trading under the Haven; Home, Safe banner after integrating their businesses, policies and procedures.

HHS now provides housing and homelessness services from the heart of Melbourne to Mildura.

The merger will improve services to clients, increase housing options, gain economies of scale, and enable the agency to build capacity in preparation for future public housing stock transfers.

Combined, the agency employs more than 150 staff across six offices, manages more than 1,600 long-term and transitional properties with assets worth $275M.

The Bendigo office will remain the agency’s headquarters.

The decision to merge followed a thorough due diligence process and the unanimous resolution of both boards with the full support of government regulatory authorities, including the Director of Housing.

Former NEHS CEO, Haleh Homaei, will manage the agency’s metropolitan operations and join the HHS executive management team as Deputy CEO.
